Abubakarr Bangura, MD
- Class of 2023
Abubakarr Bangura, MD completed his Residency at the University of Connecticut Integrated Residency in Emergency Medicine. Abubakarr completed his undergraduate education at George Washington University and medical school at Meharry Medical College. His interests include health disparities, public health, ultrasound, global health, critical care and medical mentoring.
William Bruno, MD
- Class of 2023
William Bruno, MD completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. William Bruno grew up in the Philadelphia area. He attended the University of California, Santa Barbara as an undergraduate and attended the University of California, San Diego for medical school. His professional interests include public health intervention and research in humanitarian settings, human rights advocacy and the ethics of humanitarianism.
Kristie Hadley, MD
- Class of 2022
Kristie Hadley, MD is primarily interested in refugee health, improving health disparities, and addressing the evolving risks of climate change on vulnerable populations. Previously, she has worked in Istanbul, Turkey with Syrian refugees as well as in Guatemala with rural populations. Closer to home, her interests lie in improving access to care through health system policy reform and a greater emphasis on equity in health outcomes.
Alexander Sloboda, MD, MPH,
- Class of 2022
Alexander Sloboda, MD, MPH has interests in Global Health including Emergency Medicine training development in West Africa as well as health care system and social services development. Alexander previously worked in Ghana and Nigeria on similar endeavors. In the US, he is interested in addressing social determinants of health, racial health disparities, and programming to increase diversity in Medicine.
